Fragments

"Or is the angel hollow under the dress..."

Body fragments, thinking through, disruption of massive objects,

Transformation, connection between emotion and form

The fragment demands attention. The separation of an individual part from its context forces a certain point of view on the viewer.
For me, fragmentation is an excellent vehicle for conveying symbolic meaning and deeper, complex messages.
At the same time, disengagement from an expected unity causes the mind to wrestle with possible meanings.
This is particularly the case when methods of fragmentation are applied to representations of the body.
A process that violates the basic condition of human existence.
The sight of a severed human form causes discomfort and prompts a search for an explanation for the Desecration.

In my sculptural work it is fundamentally important to give time a cover. There is always a relation between time and form. Thanks to our memory, the form can generate an infinite number of readings and references. The triggering of physical perception enables immersion in the architecture and the space of the sculpture.
